STAGING DESIGNS by Karen Kelly

With a passion for decorating and design, Karen thought that by becoming a real estate agent, she would have an endless supply of houses to decorate.  She quickly learned, however, that being an agent had little to do with decorating and a whole lot to do with hard work, long hours, and demanding clients.  So she decided to leave the real estate business behind, but her love for decorating remained.

Several years ago, a real estate agent and friend asked her for some design advice on one of his listings.  He told her about an intriguing new marketing strategy in real estate called "staging".  Because she had a good eye and a love of decorating, he thought she would be a natural at it and that it might be a great career for her.  She agreed.  They did some brain-storming, he helped her get her first job, and Voila!  A new career was born.

In 2002, Karen started STAGING DESIGNS by Karen Kelly with nothing more than a passion for decorating and a desire to succeed.  

Karen continues to do staging and has now expanded her business to include teaching others how to start their own staging companies.  She is excited to share what she knows and delights in watching her students get started in their own careers.
